In 2025, the Singapore government introduced a new package to support families with up to $3,700 in bonus payouts. This package, part of the Majulah support package, is intended to help seniors on a lower- to mid-income withstand the rising costs and retirement needs.
Eligibility for the $3,700 Bonus
Singapore citizens born on or before 1973, who are classified as lower- to middle-income earners and classed in terms of CPF wealth or personal assets, will obtain this bonus. Eligibility is measured according to lifetime income, housing type, and CPF savings. Elderly persons who meet these criteria will automatically be eligible in varying degrees for the components under the Majulah Package, which include Retirement Savings Bonuses and MediSave Top-Ups.
Explaining a $3,700 Payout
A total payout of $3,700 will be made of three components. Retirement savings bonus of up to $1,000 for seniors who need higher CPF retirement savings. MediSave bonus of up to $1,500 to help meet future medical expenses constitutes the second bonus; the third being a one-off cash bonus, which can be applied toward general living expenses, payable of up to $1,200. These bonuses, combined, are intended to ensure that seniors can pay bills and live comfortably in their golden years.
When and How the Payouts Will Take Place
The fund will be received first in early 2025, in phases. Most of the eligible population will probably see payments beginning to be paid in March, with the rest being paid gradually throughout the year. They will be paid into CPF accounts and bank accounts linked to government services such as PayNow or GovCash, depending on which type of bonus it pertains to.

As the cost of living continues to increase, the Government wants to ensure that the greatest assistance is offered to those in greatest financial distress through this targeted bonus approach.
